A quick view of Lesvos island in Greece

Lesvos is the third-largest Greek island in the Aegean Sea, and the seventh-largest in the Mediterranean Sea, with a total extent of 1630 square kilometers.

Lesvos is divided into two municipalities, the municipality of Mytilene with Mytilene City as its capital. Additionally, the University of the Aegean, the Ministry of Island Policy, and the region of the North Aegean are all located here. And the municipality of western Lesvos with Kalloni City as its capital.

Lesbos is an island blessed with a variety of natural climes that change from side to side. Ancient volcanic activity left a petrified forest on the dry rocky west part of the island, unlike the olive silver and pine green rest of the island.

In addition, there is a history of civilizations through the ages that cannot be ignored, monuments that witness the emergence of numerous cultures throughout history. Ancient Greek temples, Roman aqueducts, pale Christian churches, Ottoman temples, and buildings are all well preserved and available for travelers who would like to combine holidays with history research.

Lesvos is a place that can attract and entertain visitors four seasons a year. Popular sandy beaches with award-winning crystal waters joined with hotels for any taste, sea sports, jeep tours, romantic dinners under the moon in a traditional tavern next to the sea with breathtaking views, all this and much more for the summer.

The combination of ecotourism and nature hunting for the winter, preparation of olive oil, cheese, and sweets in small cooperatives, hiking on hillsides and beside small waterfalls, and therapeutic baths in natural hot springs together with family accommodations in small villages will provide visitors with a rejuvenating experience.
